It was an absolute pleasure working with Sophie & Adrian to design & create their special rings. We first met at Royal Cornwall Show, followed by a meeting in my workshop to make sure the design we discussed was perfect. Their finished rings are beautiful and I am so happy I was able to meet such a lovely couple.
HOW DID YOU MEET?
Adrian and I met at Royal Cornwall Show back in 2009, sounds cheesy but it was love at first sight!
HOW DID YOU GET ENGAGED?
Adrian proposed to me 7 years after we met in the same spot we met at Royal Cornwall Show!
WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED AND WHEN?
We got married at Crowan church on the 18th August this year followed by a reception in a marquee at Adrian’s grandads farm.
HOW FAR BEFORE THE WEDDING DID YOU START TALKING ABOUT YOUR WEDDING RINGS?
Our wedding rings were very important to us! We met you at Royal Cornwall the following year after we got engaged and that’s when we decided we definitely wanted bespoke rings.
HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN YOU HAD TO START LOOKING FOR YOUR RINGS?
We just knew we wanted bespoke rings made in Cornwall, we didn’t really know where to start.
HOW DID YOU FIND ME?
We met you at Royal Cornwall Show! ( its all about that show it would seem)!
WHY WAS IT SO IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO HAVE A BESPOKE RING?
To us the rings are one of the most important things of the wedding day, they’re one of the few things that you have after your wedding day to keep
WHAT WAS THE MAIN REASON YOU CHOSE ME TO DESIGN AND MAKE YOUR RING?
We met you at the show and your work was unique and of high standard, we also wanted our rings made in Cornwall.
WHAT WAS IT LIKE RECEIVING THE PHOTOS OF YOUR RING BEING MADE AND HOW DID IT MAKE YOU FEEL?
We both absolutely loved getting photos of the rings being made! Not only did we know we were getting unique Cornish rings but we got to see the journey of them being made was great, we’ve kept all of the photos and not everyone gets to see how they’re rings were made!
YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE JOURNEY WORKING WITH ME?
Getting the photos of the rings was probably our favourite part and picking them up of course!
ANY TIPS YOU CAN GIVE TO BRIDES AND GROOMS?
Enjoy every single minute of your day and take in your friends and family enjoying the day you’ve been waiting so long for. Also take time to spend with each other on the day.
ANY OTHER COMMENTS?
So many people have complimented our beautiful rings, Adrian’s ring had a lot of comments on the size of it! Our photographer said it was like something out of Lord of the Rings! We have a photo where a pound coin can fit in the middle of it.
Also, Stephanie is just lovely throughout the whole journey and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to her again 🙂
